STUBBORN GOVERNMENT

 It was first week of March 2021 as a companion I was with Harikesh, we were talking about different issues of our school, our daily long traveling routine, tiredness & etc. Although it was regular in practice but internally we both were in the same situation. Harikesh was posted in Hardoi district and I was in Raebareli. No body knows what happens in the future. Life was moving with its own pace.

 After first phase of Covid-19 pandemic people were taking necessary precautions. In the state there was Panchayat Election. Although it was not necessary because of Covid pandemic but government was targeting next year legislative assembly election. District administration in each district planning election training for Panchayat election 2021. As a result different staff of different department were being ready for election  training. Nobody want to go in election training but unfortunately they couldn’t. 

Covid patients were dying in different hospitals & in home due to lack of treatment & oxygen. But government has never listen to postponed election. We both appointed as a Preciding officer and schedule to go for training. Harikesh had visited and completed his election training. But because of Covid positive report of wife I had informed higher concerned authorities not to participate in election training.

 After that Harikesh had suffered from high fever. After One or two days he had to admitted in SGPGIMS as his lungs was infected. It was Covid attack. He was there for treatment for proper care of Covid. But no body knows that he will never back to home. I had  seen him as a husband, as a father as a energetic young man who was starting his life. But we had lost him because of Covid. 

Oh God ! You shouldn’t take him back. He had two years old baby girl. She search her father. She don’t know what happens. We always miss him. I talk him in the wind why you have left all of us? Harikesh answer … sir what to do ? God has called me back. Government officials should postpone election. The carelessness of state government has lid off the light of so many families.
